Aleppo peppers are a medium-heat Syrian red pepper known by chefs throughout the world. They have very bright and pleasant flavors in combination to their spice. Productive plants produce relatively early compared to similar varieties. When green, these peppers look very similar to Shishito peppers.
Our Aleppo peppers were obtained from the USDA seedbank. They are originally from the Aleppo region in northern Syria. We have primarily sold this pepper as a frying pepper (an alternative to Padron). The peppers are also exceptional when used ripe and red (fresh or dried).
